Our West Torrens Hahn One Day Cup had to settle for a loss as they were beaten by Port Adelaide on a day to learn from.
Port Adelaide batted first and reached 8/276 from 50 overs. Isaac Conway made a stylish 115 not out for our opponents, a century worth applauding. James Reuther bowled nicely to finish with three for 53. Archer Byrne backed up well, taking two for 48.
Needing 277 to win, we finished on 8/258 from 50 overs. Bailey Capel made a superb 57 off 57 balls, a well-made fifty.
Credit to the visitors, who played well.
Congratulations to our opponents on the win.
