On Sunday at Park 25 - Oval 2, our West Torrens Kookaburra Womens 1st Grade lost to Kensington on a tough day.
Kensington batted first and made 7/221 from 50 overs. Credit to Shae Daly, who made a half-century (80) for the hosts. Elsa Barnfather made a quality 51 for our opponents, a well-deserved half-century. Dimple Sharma bowled cleverly to finish with two for 35. Maggie Clark also took two for 38.
In reply, the team were all out for 156 in 41.5 overs. Chloe Rosenzweig made a valuable 27 off 38 balls. Clark also got among the runs with 26 off 46 balls. Grace Jones was the best of the hosts' bowlers, finishing with four for 44.
We'll take the lessons from this one and go again. The side will be keen to turn things around after two straight losses.
