Despite a solid effort, our West Torrens West End Mens 4th Grade fell short against Adelaide on a tough day.
Adelaide batted first and made 7/223 from 40 overs. Credit to Jack O'Sullivan, who made a half-century (61) for our opponents. Harrison Whenan was the pick of the bowlers, taking three for 51 off eight overs.
Our chase ended at 3/187 from 40 overs. Paul Duffett made an excellent 85 off 105 balls, a well-made fifty. Lachlan Sheppard weighed in with 26 off 38 balls.
There are plenty of positives to take out of this one. That's three losses in a row, but the boys will keep working hard. Well played to the hosts.
