It was a good day out for our West Torrens West End Mens 4th Grade, who took the honours against Northern Districts with a stylish team effort.
We batted first and finished with 8/251 on the board from 40 overs. Lachlan Sheppard passed fifty on the way to 50 off 70 balls with eight fours. Solid support came from Liam Whenan, who made 49. Lachlan Johnston bowled beautifully for Northern Districts, a five-wicket haul of five for 55.
In reply, the visitors finished on 8/208 from 40 overs. Credit to Cooper Oliver, who made a half-century (64) for our opponents. Lachlan Townsend starred with the ball, taking two for 38.
An excellent result for the boys.
Two wins on the trot now for the side. Well played, all.
