It was a satisfying day for our West Torrens West End Mens 4th Grade, who emerged victorious against Southern District in a pleasing performance.
We batted first and put 8/236 on the board from 40 overs. Paul Duffett's 85 off 108 balls was a half-century to remember. Liam Whenan weighed in with 31 off 41 balls. David Gall was the pick of Southern District's bowlers with three for 30.
In reply, our opponents finished on 131 from 31 overs. Damin Biddle was the top scorer for the hosts with 48. Mark Whenan was the pick of the bowlers, taking four for 29 off six overs.
An excellent result for the side.
A day to enjoy for everyone at West Torrens.
