Our West Torrens West End Twenty20 Cup had to settle for a loss as they fell short against Port Adelaide at Park 25 - Oval 1 in Senior Men.
The side batted first and reached 7/160 from 20 overs. Harry Manenti passed fifty on the way to 80 off 36 balls with five fours and eight sixes. Thomas Andrews bowled well for Port Adelaide, taking three for 34.
In reply, our opponents passed our total, finishing on 5/161 in 19 overs. The visitors' best was a half-century from Josh Kann, who made 86. Jake Carder made 45 for our opponents. Deakin Murphy bowled nicely to finish with three for 23.
There were some fine individual efforts to build on.
Chins up, everyone.
