It was a disappointing outing for our West Torrens West End Mens 2nd Twenty20, who couldn't get past Sturt on a day that didn't go our way.
Our innings closed at 5/146 from 20 overs. Alex Cappelluti brought up a classy half-century, finishing with 58 off 50 balls. Charlie Edmunds played a handy knock of 41. Solid support came from Luke Terry, who made 30.
In reply, Sturt passed our total, finishing on 3/150 in 18.2 overs. Our opponents' best was a half-century from Lucas Doe, who made 64.
There are plenty of positives to take out of this one. A tough stretch, and one the team will be determined to end.
Congratulations to the hosts on the win.
