Our West Torrens Kookaburra Womens 2nd Grade had plenty to celebrate after they took the honours against Adelaide by eight wickets.
We kept Adelaide to 8/171 from 40 overs. Samantha Mckenzie made a classy 59 for our opponents, a well-deserved half-century. There were 45 from Anjli Thakur for the hosts. Our best with the ball was chelsea Molzer, who took four for 24. Mackenzee McCauley bowled beautifully for two for 26.
In reply, the team reached the target at 2/173 in 32.5 overs. Leading the way was McCauley with 42 off 74 balls. Brianna Cheetham added a useful 31 off 35 balls.
A cracking result for the side. Two wins on the trot now for the team. A day to enjoy for everyone at West Torrens.
